John Trunk


When he’s not cycling in Sonoma County or building forts with his cat Esther, Chef John Trunk can likely be found cooking with his long time friend Darren McRonald.  For the past 14 years the two have collaborated on numerous ventures including The Tinhorn in Millbrook, NY; Bellavitae in Greenwich Village, NYC; and the West County Grill in Sebastopol, CA.  After graduating with honors from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY in 2002, John spent several years catering and working as a private chef in NYC and The Hamptons before moving to Santa Rosa in 2007.  Most recently, John was Executive Chef at Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen in St Helena, CA.
